Our family have a great week at RACV Inverloch Resort. We feel rested and have opportunity to spend time with the children in using the resort's facility like swimming pool, tennis court, table tennis, etc. With a couple of day free breakfast offered during that time has added value to money spent in the resort. Overall, great place and good value. Thank you.
Needs improvement
The range of food in the restaurant. For eg. buffet breakfast should have greater choice and range. Another improvement can be the road to cabin should be paved and asphalt. In a hot day, the road can be dusty and uncomfortable to walk on.

THE ONLY THING WE FOUND WAS IT WAS HOT IN THE CAMP KITCHEN AND NEEDED A FAN AND TO BE ABLE TO OPEN THE WINDOWS.

The RACV staff are warm and welcoming and always very helpful. The pool amenities are fantastic and our children enjoyed swimming for several hours every day.
Needs improvement
I can't see any particular improvements as far as the caravan park goes. However, the restaurant didn't live up to our expectations with the food and service.

The best caravan park in Australia!

Inverloch is a wonderful destination in Victoria and to be able to stay in such natural surroundings makes it a most enoyable experience.
Needs improvement
Dining area felt a bit "cold" and was noisy. Perhaps some sections need to be created for families and couples at dinner time

provision for early check-in ... we arrived 2 hours earlier and we have to wait the whole of 2 hours before we were allowed to check-in. Or at least clearly specify in the policies/terms and conditions that strictly no early check-in.

We stayed in a disabled room. There was not enough bench space to put toiletries on.
Needs improvement
My friend found that a lot of children used the Gym early in the morning but were not supervised properly by their parents who were busy on the equipment themselves. Several times she had to show children how to use the equipment properly so they would not injure themselves. (she is a trainer)- so perhaps the gym should be restricted to adults.

We stayed in a villa I think it was this year sometime I cannot recall the date, but there was heavy rain and the rain came in the windows in the lounge room, both bedrooms and in the bathroom.

A barrister is required to make a decent, good quality coffee as you are paying the price for the coffee and need quality.

The journey through Gippsland to Inverloch offers the chance to visit many wineries, cafes and places of interest along the way such as the Kilcunda trestle railway bridge or the giant jawbone of a whale which serves as a portico to the Wonthaggi Hotel. Be skeptical of the local wags who would have you believe the huge crocodile over the bar the hotel's main bar was caught in tghe nearby Powlett River! The road from Wonthaggi skirts the cliffs of the Bunurong Coastal Park to Anderson's Inlet and Inverloch. Fossil remains found at Dinosaur Cove have proved to be of world significance. Volunteers prise the delicate bones from the rock with chainsaws and chisels. The fact they are successful is a testament to the dedication, patience and skill.

The resort is a long walk to the beach and it was a bit smelly from the seaweed. Good for a couples weekend but not that good for kids.

My parents inlaw chose Inverloch Resort as the venue for my mother in law's 60th birthday celebrations. So as a result we probably experienced all that it had to offer in terms of accomodation, a venue and catering. Three families stayed for the weekend and we had a pool party for the children to enjoy for Saturday lunch. The kiosk provided pizzas for us and the waitress was friendly and incredibly accomodating. We ate in the units both Friday and Saturday nights and the kitchens had everything we needed. Then on the Sunday we celebrated the 60th birthday with extended family of about 50 in a private function room. The meal was beautiful and once again the service was first rate. The 9 grandchildren loved their meals and they were even provided with RACV activity books and pencils to keep them entertained while the adults enjoyed the company and savoured the meal. My 9 year old son is still talking about the mini burger that wasn't so mini!!

Nothing to improve upon really but if our children had of been much smaller I would have liked a bath in one of the bathrooms.

The best features were the beautifully appointed two bedroom unit that we stayed in and the fantastic indoor heated pool. The view from the unit was outstanding. The gas heating did an amazing job and heated the whole unit. Our four children were comfortably accomodated in the spacious second bedroom which is a great thing for our family (we often have problems with accomotation because we need to sleep 6)and the master bedroom was like a palace. The unit was so luxurious that I didn't really want to leave but the children were very keen to go and swim in the pool and play in the park. All around, the weekend was a big, big hit!!

General Comment
Thumbs up to RACV Resort Inverloch. The only thing that could have been omproved on, was the weather!
Needs improvement
Hot plates in the camp kitchen would be handy for those using it.
Recommendation Reason
It's a great resort for people of any age.
Unique Feature
Everything. It was fantastic. The amenities were spotless, the powered sites were large, the recreation facilities were the best I have ever come across.

General Comment
thewhole site is non smoking which is not mentioned on booking.this is a good thing for some but for smokers not to be able to smoke on the decking area of their villa is a little bit harsh.i have some friends who due to their smoking wouldn't go to the resort

the breakfast facillities. the standard was not up to the level of the rest of the facility-the choice was limited and the coffee was brewed unless you paid extra for it.

General Comment
Since the weather was inclement on our stay , the cold wind was blowing strongly through gaps in the windows in the restaurant which made our meal rather unpleasant and which affected our enjoyment of the beautiful food. I was with a 92 yr old lady who found the cold very distressing and it took quite some time back in the room to get the heating going to thaw her out.

Walking inside the corridors to our room were very drafty and there was an icy wind blowing outside which was freezing while going to our room

General Comment
The provision of microwave ovens, crockery and cutlery as well as BBQs is an excellent feature and makes for a very economical alternative to either the on-site restaurant (which is excellent, by the way)or eating out.
Needs improvement
Some music during the evening in the restaurant would add to the atmosphere.

It provides great value for money for singles, couples and families.

General Comment
Our every wish had been anticipated, down to details like fresh milk in the fridge and black towels for pool use. The room was generously proportioned and the natural light in the bathroom and floor to ceiling views brought the outside environment in. Tastefully blended colours and materials.
Needs improvement
The drainage in the shower recess could perhaps be caught before it reached the central drain in the room. Water tended to sneak out from under the door.
Recommendation Reason
Would recommend he property to all traveller types (unable to select more than one from the list in Q8.)
Unique Feature
The blend of the natural environments of sea and rural country with first class modern amenities. The architecture brought the natural environment into the building. Incredible to view sea from one side of the pool and cattle grazing on lush pasture from the other.

Had a fantastic time, we loved the tennis courts and the swimming pool.
Needs improvement
Perhaps a welcoming start up kitchen pack, milk, bread etc.

Ordered breakfast should be served quickly. We had bad experience with our breakfast. It took over 45 minutes to get our ordered meals. It seemed like they had to go town to get the ingredient.

The staff are just exellent, there is nothing they would need to do to improve as they treat you so well. The food is fantastic. They make some of the big names in the City look really bad when it comes to the food as well as tasts so good.

My stay at Inverloch was fantastic. This resort has been built for everyone to enjoy. The set up of the caravan park section was fantastic and even the set up of the units looked great. We would consider coming back as a group and hiring out one of the units as there appeared to be accommodation that would cater for groups of 10 or more. I could not recommend this resort highly enough.

More bbq's. There was only 1 double bbq that we found which was up near the reception facilities and this had not overhead cover on it. Usually if you are in a group you need to have a double barbeque to be able to cook at the food at once. I otherwise feel the resort has been done fantastically.

We stayed on an ensuite Caravan site. The site was very large and the ensuite was fantastic. The rates were also very reasonable. The resort also had an indoor swimming pool and on the weekend we were there it rained from the Saturday until we left on the Monday. Having two children this facility was a great release for them rather than having to stay inside the caravan all day. The restaurant facilities were also fantastic for use during the day to be able to go and relax and have a drink and read the newspaper. The play ground facilities were also fantastic for the kids and well set up. The resort generally just to walk around was very pleasing on the eye and I think it has been built to fit in with its surroundings. I would recommend this resort to anyone with a caravan. The camp kitchen was also fantastic, giving us somewhere warm to go and eat our dinner with other friends we had met at the resort.

General Comment
Resorts are very dependent on consistent, customer oriented behaviour from all staff members. Fortunately RACV Inverloch has this in abundance at reception, with maintenance staff and with activities staff. Some restaurant staff were nice. Others could do with a dose of customer focus training.
Needs improvement
It took until the day we left to get the internet working at the villa (I think this was a teething problem); the restaurant food was not exciting; there were no information books in the villas as they were still being compiled. The resort has the capacity to pipe information to the villa TVs in an information channel (games, activities, restaurant menus, local what's on etc). This would be good. Get a masseur or masseuse service / day spa onsite - but it might not pay for itself - sub contracted out it might work.
Recommendation Reason
Laid back relaxed atmosphere, good amenities, relaxing walks (watch out for snakes - we met a couple)

Premium villa layout was excellent - huge open plan living area, every bedroom was spacious, and the view....!! The mini-store at reception was very convenient (milk, bread, headache tablets etc)

The BBQ dinners and the pool area was super. Also the ladies running the table tennis competitions for the childen were lovely - what great service for all ages! And the flying fox and climbing equipment -outstanding.

Nothing - we loved it.

Hard to find fun place for allages with plenty of room for everyone in the same apartment.

The rooms are huge and luxurious - you feel pampered by the space and comfort, the plasma's in every room made the children feel spoilt and the amentities and view were totally outstanding - can't wait to be back!

General Comment
The room and facilities in the villas was beyond our expectations. The restaurant was nice and the food excellent, service was good but raw, probably need to train the staff a bit more. The staff were obviously new to this service standard and need direction in fine food service. The head waiter? seemed to be doing very little and did not seem to provide direction to staff to help them improve. Staff really just need some experience. Overall, the whole weekend stay was well beyond what we expected. We have recommended this facility to many colleagues and friends.

Not much, it appears a bit barren but is new so can be expected. Maybe a courtesy bus to town would make life a bit easier for families.
